Speaker Ticket – We will be utilizing the Hopin conference platform for our virtual conference this year. You should have received an email to register for Hopin. Please get your speaker ticket ASAP. If you do not have the Hopin registration link for your SPEAKER ticket please contact us.

SWAG code – We have emailed all speakers a one time swag code to redeem for a t-shirt from our [ swag store ]. If you did not get this email please contact us. You should order ASAP if you’d like to receive it in time to wear during the conference. If t-shirts aren’t your thing, or if you are not in a rush, you can save the voucher to use in our next wave of printing that occurs during the event itself and will include additional items (some of which aren’t clothing) though they won’t arrive until several weeks after the event. Unlike gift cards we only pay for the amount of money which is redeemed from the vouchers, so if you decide you’d rather Diana Initiative keeps the money and/or you don’t want swag, thank you.

If you are a government employee, press, or another person who can not accept gifts (as this is greater than a 20$ value with taxes and shipping) please don’t utilize your code (we won’t be charged for codes that are not redeemed).

Our Schedule – You will be receiving a tentative schedule soon. If you have a hard conflict with your time please reply to that email and we’ll work to swap you to another spot.

Sched Invitation – You will be receiving an email invitation from sched – this is the tool we are using to publish our schedule. It allows you to upload your speaker graphic, update your bio, and if needed tweak your talk abstract. We are currently working on the speaker schedule so ignore your session day and time as it will be changing. We just wanted to give you the opportunity to update your profile and session as soon as we could. So this year to make any changes to your speaker profile or talk, you do not need to email or DM anyone. Just login onto sched and make changes yourself. If you cannot find your sched invite or do not remember your password, you can reset your sched password

Slack Invitation – If you haven’t already, please join our slack as this is where we will be actively communicating.

If you already are on our slack or once you join slack, please DM (@Jaime Borchert ) to be added to the speakers channel.

Prerecorded Video: We would like to have a pre-recorded video of your talk to be used only in case of technical difficulties during our Diana Initiative 2021 virtual conference. If you can not do this it will not impact your accepted speaker status.

If you can record your talk in advance, please provide us a (unlisted) youtube video link of your pre-recorded talk (or a link that will allow us to download it.) Alternatively if your email is signed up as a google account, we can send you a link to our private g-drive folder for your video to be uploaded into. Please let us know if you wish to use this option as we have limited space.

Please be assured that your pre-recorded video talk will only be accessible to you and Diana Initiative Speaker Op staff.

Please let us know if you want us to delete your video after the event if we are hosting it.

Speaker training sign-ups: We will be creating speakers training for the Hopin platform about a week in advance of the conference. Once this has been set up, we will send out the information and signup sheet for time slots. This will be like a dress rehearsal to get you familiarized with the platform prior to the conference.

Presentation Mentoring: If you wanted a mentor to help you with your presentation and have not yet gotten one, please reach out so we can remedy that ASAP.
